US is talking to Hekmatyar in Afghanistan

As reported by Asia Times online. Hekmatyar was one of the leading mujahideens in the 1980s against the Soviets in Afghanistan. He is known to have advocated to throw acid in women's faces. So the US is trying to bring in the political process fundamentalist murderers, once again. There are many progressive groups in Afghanistan, but they are mostly ignored by NATO/US.
