US weapons end up in Taliban hands

A NYT investigation found that "of 30 rifle magazines recently taken from insurgents’ corpses, at least 17 contained cartridges, or rounds, identical to ammunition the United States had provided to Afghan government forces." So this provides evidence that arms supplied by the US to Afghan forces leaks to the Taliban, through theft or corrupt officials.
