King Abdullah of Jordan proposed a "new" peace initiative with Israel based on the 2002 Arab peace plan. Essentially, Israel would need to withdraw to 1967 borders, in exchange for peace with the Arab world.
Juan Cole comments on this and on the statelessness of the Palestinians, which he sees as the key problem to be solved.
